I am a graduate student pursuing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Seattle Pacific University (SPU). Additionally, I am working on my certification in Medical Family Therapy. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Washington (UW), where I majored in psychology and minored in dance and mathematics. While at UW, I worked in the RISE Mental Health Lab, where I completed my senior thesis on therapists’ comfort level addressing violence and aggression during therapy. As an undergraduate I also worked as an intern in the Psychiatric and Behavioral Medicine Unit at Seattle Children’s Hospital, leading sessions on mindfulness and healthy coping skills. I currently work as a caregiver for a teenager with cerebral palsy and have assisted in medically fragile classrooms. Throughout these experiences I came to enjoy working with children and individuals who are navigating living with chronic illness or the effects of trauma exposure.
My therapeutic approach is holistic, relational and client-centered. My approach involves the consideration of your whole being, including your feelings, spirituality, stage of life, relationships, and health. I believe that each client has the ability to navigate the challenges and changes life brings and am committed to helping my clients work toward achieving symptom reduction, more self-awareness, and increased confidence. My focus is on highlighting the inherent strengths in individuals and relationships as a foundation of growth and providing hope through support, encouragement, and acceptance.
