Throughout my years working in finance and technology, I felt continually drawn to the counseling field. I am often humbled to be in this profession where I can make contributions towards a client’s journey as they pursue healing, understanding, and self-discovery.
My hope is to foster a non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to explore and work through challenges life inevitably produces. Within this space, my hope is that it would provide you with an opportunity to process at a pace where you are seen and heard. My goal as a therapist is to help clients feel empowered and equipped with resources to help limit the harmful impact of thoughts, actions, or feelings that have been a detriment in their lives.
As a counselor, I’ve helped clients with the transition from homelessness to temporary housing and navigate the many mental and behavioral challenges that are involved in that process. Prior to counseling, I have over 15 years working in finance and technology in fast paced high stress environments that could lead to unhealthy coping patterns. As a child of first-generation immigrants, I’ve faced many obstacles around acculturation and identity issues around my family’s origin versus the new culture of America.
I utilize evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, attachment-based theory, family systems, and emotionally focus therapy to meet the needs of my clients. I take a collaborative approach in my work with clients to develop a treatment plan that will position clients to achieve their therapeutic goals. I work with teens, adults, and couples. It would be my pleasure to work collaborative with you towards your healing and growth in pursuit of your goals for therapy.
