I have proven expertise and passion for helping individuals, couples, families, and organizations thrive in their relationships. This fundamental part of our existence leads to greater happiness, meaning, purpose, productivity, and life satisfaction. When our relationships, teams, and communities thrive, we can experience the fullness of life for which we were created. Together we can make that happen.

Professionally, I hold a high value for the most evidence-based, proven methods for change. I am committed to connecting relationally with people with acceptance, empathy and a willingness to see the best, even as we work together to find ways for life to be better.  I am a Fuller School of Psychology Graduate, with a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy and took most classes required toward a Masters in Divinity. As an AAMFT Approved Mentor Supervisor (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists), Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist, as well as a Certified Gottman Educator, I provide mentoring and training to mental health clinicians. In addition, I provide professional consultation and coaching to organizations and business leaders. I have enjoyed teaching at graduate and undergraduate universities, hosting seminars, and speaking at various events to inspire and equip people to love well and live their best life.

Personally, I delight in continuing to forge a resilient partnership in my decades-long marriage and in being a mom to 4 kids from middle school to college. I value serving the community as a Whitworth University Liberal Arts Advisory Board member and in mentoring faith-based professionals in leadership and ministry roles.

Relationship Preparation, Restoration, and Coaching:

For couples, families, or business colleagues, I provide full-day or half-day intensive sessions as a viable alternative to weekly therapy when desiring faster results and more efficient progress. Three full-day intensives can equate to 6 months of weekly therapy. A minimum of 3 half-day sessions is recommended to experience change.

Intensives can be held online or at a private location of your choosing in the greater Seattle area. I am sometimes able to travel out of the area for half or full-day sessions for additional travel fees.

For couples preparing for marriage, I offer a signature experience of discernment, learning, and bonding. Included are in-depth relationship and personality assessments, communication skills, conflict resolution, finances, families of origin, sex and intimacy, forgiveness and true reconciliation, lifestyle and personality differences, “roommate issues”, and many more evidence-based foundational topics personalized to the couple to build a great marriage. You will have significant conversations that draw you close. The time will be marked with laughter, good tears, bonding, and encouragement you will draw upon for years to come.

Premarital coaching packages are either (6) six 90-minute sessions or (12) twelve – 45-minute sessions, depending on what works best for you. These can be scheduled before or after engagement, in the early newlywed stage, or any combination.

Wedding officiating: I support couples in cultivating one of the most special days of their lives. By providing a relationally focused, personalized experience of this sacred union, I facilitate the kind of service that lays a foundation for your future and invites guests into a magical experience as your supportive witnesses.

For an exquisitely unique wedding experience, I offer a full package including all marriage preparation sessions and officiating for a discounted all-inclusive rate.

Please reach out via our Connect with Us page for scheduling requests.

Billing and Insurance:

I am in-network with Premera. For all other insurance plans, our billing team can provide a superbill for clients to pursue reimbursement directly when there is an applicable mental health diagnosis.

Some insurance companies do not cover relationship diagnoses. If you are seeking couple or family therapy, you can ask if the diagnoses of z63.0 (couple), z62.82 (parent and child) z63.2 (family) are covered under your plans.

Out-of-network reimbursement for my services as a licensed long-standing clinician are typically anywhere from 50% to 80% and costs can go toward your deductible. Therefore your overall coverage may not be that different than in-network coverage. For in-network and out-of-network coverage, we advise you to reach out to your insurance plan directly to determine your benefits in advance. We cannot guarantee coverage from any given company and will support you with the proof of services you may need.
