I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, families, professionals and organizations thrive in their relationships. This fundamental part of our existence leads to greater happiness, meaning, purpose, productivity and life satisfaction. When our families, teams and communities thrive, we can experience the fullness of life we were created for. Together we can make that happen. Professionally, I hold a high value for the most evidence-based, proven methods for change. I am committed to connecting relationally with people with acceptance, empathy and a willingness to see the best, even as we work together to find ways for life to be better.
I am a Fuller School of Psychology Graduate, with a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy and took most classes required toward a Masters in Divinity. I have participated in both the intensive and the cohort Confessional Community™ Trainings with Dr. Curt Thompson and colleagues, recieved Certificates in Spiritual Transformation from Ruth Haley Barton’s Transforming Community® in Chicago and Launch with Mel Robbins. For many years now I have been an AAMFT Approved Mentor Supervisor (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists), Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist, as well as a Certified Gottman Educator.
In addition to leading Sacred Presence groups and supervising mental health professionals, I provide professional consultation and coaching to individuals, couples and leaders. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching at graduate and undergraduate universities, hosting seminars and speaking at various events to inspire and equip people to love well and live their best life.
Personally, I delight in being a mom to 4 kids from elementary to college, and grieve the traumatic loss of our full-term son. In all we have faced together, I cherish the love, friendship, ongoing resilience and growth in my marriage to my college sweetheart. I value serving the community by mentoring emerging adults and professionals, coaching youth sports, and supporting faith-based, and social justice organizations.
